This Project proposes the implementation of a Green Fleet Pilot Project in the Municipal Waste Management Company of the City of Rio de Janeiro (COMLURB). Its main goal is to evaluate the potential to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the refuse truck’s fleet and verify the impacts in the business operation (financial and social) through the implementation of the specific measures: Eco-driving training, including analysis of weight carried by each truck; optimization of tires use and opacity test measurement.
